1. Trigonometric ratios of an acute angle

   • Alpha
     • sin=opposite side/hypotenuse
     • cos= adyacent/hypotenuse
     • Tan= opposite/adyacent
   • Beta
     • sin=opposite side/hypotenuse
     • cos= adyacent/hypotenuse
     • Tan= opposite/adyacent

2. Basic trigonometric identities

   • (sin alpha) raised to 2 + (cos alpha) raised to 2= 1
     • Example: sin alpha= 0.6. calculate cos alpha and tan alpha
   • Sin alpha/cos alpha= tan alpha
     • Example: tan beta= 0.53. Calculate sin beta and cos beta

   • Two sides known
     • The third side is found using Phytagoras
     • Each of the acute angles is found based on the trigonometric ratio that relates it to the two known sides
   • A side and an angle Known
     • Another side is found by using the trigonometric ratio that relates it to the known side and the angle
     • The other acute angle is complementary to the one we know
