  1. 3. What does the function print(_) do in the next line of code? It prints whatever is contained in the parentheses. Whatever is in quotation marks will be printed exactly. The functions not in quotation marks will print the values called by those functions.

  2. 6. Is this variable (largest) global or local? Why? The variable largest is local because it can only be utilized within its function's scope, which in this case is getLargestRandom().

  3. 1. How does the random.randint(_,_) work? The program will select a random integer that is between the two numbers in the given interval.

  4. 5. What is the purpose of the function str(_) in the next line of code? The str() function will convert the integers assigned to each variable into string values.

  5. 4. What is the purpose of the (+) operator in the next line of code? The + operator separates what is in quotation marks from the functions that must first be run by the program in order to print their intended values.

  6. 2. What is "random" and what is the purpose of using the period (.) before randint? Random is a function in Python. The purpose of using the period before randit is to properly call the random function, then state the type of parameters needed in order for the program to return the values needed.

  7. 7. What does None mean? None means there is no value. The object is nonexistent.

  8. 8. What is inputValue? Why is it necessary for this function? inputValue is the argument that will be used in this function in order to get the value needed.

  9. 10. What is the difference between declaring, defining, and calling a function? You declare a function when you state the function, its return type, and parameters . You define a function when you put the keyword "def" in front of the function and implement it. You call a function when you state the function with () after it.

  10. 9. What does return do? Return will give the resulting value from the function above.

  11. 11. How was the variable message built? The variable message was built as a string. The value of message depended on the variables function1, function2, function3, function4, function5, and randomInput. An if/else statement was also used to affect the value of message.
