Students interests
- Interests play a crucial role in establishing relationships and connections between the learning experiences that students have inside and outside of school.
- Affective (emotions that accompany involvement)
- behavioral
- cognitive (representations, expectations, objectives related to content and / or learning activities)
- metacognitive components
- They emerge and develop within the framework of social practices that enable interaction between a person and a certain content and / or activity that is of interest.

Perceptions
- Perception is the process that allows us to know the world around us. Perception is the brain process that is responsible for giving shape and meaning to the different stimuli that reach our mind through the senses.
- Perception is the basis of learning, first we build a reality in our mind (perception) and then we create content (learning).
- Perception and learning are therefore closely linked.
- Laws of perception
- The laws of perception explain to us how the perceptual process works.
- Law of proximity: Elements close to each other are perceived as belonging to the same figure.
- Figure ground law: The focus is on the figures, discarding the background.
- Law Similarity: Elements similar to each other, are perceived as belonging to the same figure.
- Contrast law: That element that presents a certain singularity is perceived as prominent.
- Law of closure: It tends to complete the figures that appear incomplete.
- Law of experience: Individual experiences and prior knowledge condition the perception of the image.
