2. RELIABILITY

   • Consistency and replicability
     • Internal reliability
       • consistency of data collection, analysis and interpretation.
     • external reliability
       • researchers possibilities to reproduce a study
     • intra-observer agreement
       • categorising consistently the same data after a lapse

3. VALIDITY

   • The procedure accurately represents the content it is supposed to measure.
     • The results of an experimental study can be reliably and unambiguously related to the implemented treatment. 
     • Construct Validity
       • A verifiable and measured construct
       • Describe the characteristics of the construct
       • A belief or theoretical label
         • It may mean different things to different people. 
     • Criterion Related Validity
       • Researchers are concerned with the fact that the treatment is implemented in a given research study and this treatment is identifiably different from whatever it is compared with.

4. GENERALISABILITY

   • findings of a study can be generalised or applied to other situations
