Atom and matter

1. What is the Atom and its structure.

   • It is the smallest particle that makes up matter and that it's not possible to divide by chemical processes.
     • It is composed of three sub-particles: protons that are positive particles, neutrons uncharged particles that are located within the nucleus in the central part of the atom and the electrons negative particles found in the crust located on the outside of the atom.

2. What is the Matter and its structure.

   • Matter is defined as anything that occupies a place in the space, is present in everything that surrounds us and even in us.
     • Matter is made up of tiny particles grouped together to form the atom.

3. Properties of matter.

   • General: length, surface, volume and mass.
   • Specific: density, hardness, transparency, brightness and color.

4. States of the matter.

   • Gaseous state: It has disordered molecules since they move freely in all the directions. Solid state: It has very ordered molecules and vibrate even though they have little space to move. Liquid state: It has very little ordered molecules, but flow easily.
