Multiple Intelligences- Abigail Hatfield

1. Musical

   • Strong ability to uphold and produce pitch, rhythm, and tone quality of music. (Mils, 2001)
     • On a scale from 1-10, I would say that my score on this intelligence would be a 6. I came to this conclusion because I have always tended to be very musically inclined through dance and choir throughout my childhood.

2. linguistic

   • Posessing a sensitivity to the different functions of language, such as sounds, rhythms, and the actual meanings of words. (mills, 2001)
     • On a scale from 1-10, I would say that my score on this intelligence would be a 6. I came to this conclusion because I learn well through writing.

3. Mathmatical/Logical

   • Having an ability to handle long chains of reasoning, as well as possessing a sensitivity to patterns, orderliness, and systematicity. (mils, 2001)
     • On a scale from 1-10, I would say that my score on this intelligence is a 3. I came to this conclusion because I struggle to learn through pattern recognition.

4. Intrapersonal

   • Having the ability to access your own feelings, and use them to guide behavior. (Mills, 2001)
     • On a scale from 1-10, I would give myself a 6 on this intelligence. I came to this conclusion because I am very good at accessing my own emotions, but not using them to guide my actions.

5. Interpersonal

   • The ability to recognize and then respond appropriately to the emotions, temperaments, desires, and motivations of others.(Mills, 2001)
     • On a scale from 1-10, I would give myself a 9 on this intelligence. I came to this conclusion because I am an empath by nature and have always been very talented at discerning the emotions of those around me.

6. Spatial

   • Having a strong ability to perceive the spatial world around them. (mills, 2001)
     • On a scale from 1-10 I would say that my score on this intelligence is a 0. I came to this conclusion because I am unable to create mental images.

7. Bodily-Kinesthetic

   • Strong ability to control your body and handle objects with skill. (Mills, 2001)
     • On a scale from 1-10, I would say that my score on this inteligence would be a 5. I have certain topics that bodily-kinesthetic learning is my preferred learning method, but that is not a constant for me.

8. Naturalist

   • The ability to create accurate pictures of the natural environment to solve problems or to create products (Mills, 2001)
     • On a scale from 1-10, I would say that my score on this intelligence is a 0. I came to this conclusion because I am not even slightly artistically inclined, and I match none of the attributes associated with this intelligence.
