1. TYPES OF MALWARE

   • VIRUS
     • This is a program that installs isellft on the computers without the user´s consent with the aim of causing harm.
   • KEYLOGGER
     • This is a type of software that attempts to obtain and memorise keystrokes
   • WORM
     • This is a malware whose purpose is to flood the system memory by reproducing iselft.
   • SPYWARE
     • TROJAN: This is a atype of virus that contains instructions, camouflaged in another program, whose purpose is to destroy or gather information saved on discks.
     • Not all spyware is malware.
     • HIJACKERS: These are programs that "hjack" other programs to use their rights or change their behaviour.
     • ADWARE: From adverstiment software.

2. MORE TERMINOLOGY

   • HACKERS
     • These are expert computer criminals who, in theory.
   • CRACKERS
     • These are people who try and change how a commercial program works or produce applications to obtain valid serial numbers in these types of programs in order to use them without a lience.
   • PHARMING
     • This practise involves redirecting a domain name to a different computer
   • COOKIES
     • These are text files that are saved to the computer by the browser when we visit a website.
   • SPAM OR JUNK MAIL
     • These are e-mail messages that flood the network in oder to adversite products
   • HOAXES
     • These are chain e-mails started by companies to gather e-mail adress from large numbers of users and then carry out mailings.
