2. Potential difference across a component is directly proportional to the current through it

3. V = I x R

   • V=p.d (v) I=current (a) R=resistance (ohms)

4. Thermistor

   • Where the resistance changes with temperature
   • Low temp --> high resistance High temp --> low resistance
   • At a particular temperature, a thermistor is an ohmic resistor
   • used to: act as a thermometer, control circuits activated by temperature

5. LDR

   • A light dependent resistor
   • A resistor whos resistance changes at differnt light levels
