1. Many and many are quantifiers (quantifiers). A lot means a lot or a lot and a lot means a lot or a lot. Quantifiers are words used to refer to the quantity of something.

   • examples: How much milk do you drink every day? (How much milk do you drink every day?) There is not much sugar in the bowl. (Not much sugar in the bowl) Our company didn’t earn much money last semester. (Our company didn't make that much money last semester)

2. A little It means a little. Little is used for countless nouns. {Significa um pouco de. Utiliza-se o a little substantivos incontáveis.}

   • examples {exemplos} : I love a little cream in my coffee. (Eu amo um pouco de creme no meu café) Have a little tea with me. It’s delicious! (Beba um pouco de chá comigo. Está delicioso!) I would love a little peace and quite around here. (Eu iria amar um pouco de paz e silêncio por aqui)
   • Much significa muito ou muita e many significa muitos ou muitas. Quantificadores são palavras utilizadas para fazer referência à quantidade de algo. Para sabermos quando usar many e much, precisamos verificar se o substantivo ao qual o quantificador se refere é countable (contável) ou uncountable (incontável).

3. A few:It can mean some/some or little/few. A few:is used with countable nouns in the plural {A few Pode significar algum/algumas ou pouco/poucas. Usa-se o a few com substantivos contáveis no plural}

   • Examples: I stayed at my aunt’s house for a few days. (Eu fiquei na casa da minha tia por alguns dias) A few boys wanted to talk to the police about the robbery. (Alguns meninos queriam falar com a polícia sobre o roubo)

4. Some: It can mean some or a little bit of . Some are used with uncountable nouns.{Some Pode significar algum ou um pouco de . Utiliza-se some com substantivos incontáveis.}

   • Examples{Exemplos}: I have some money in my bank account. (Eu tenho algum dinheiro na minha conta no banco) Can I have some wine, please? (Pode me dar um pouco de vinho, por favor?)

5. Any: In positive sentences, any has the meaning of any. In negative sentences, it takes on the meaning of none/none. In interrogatives, it takes on the meaning of someone.{Any Em sentenças positivas, any tem o significado de qualquer. Em frases negativas, assume o significado de nenhum/nenhuma. Nas interrogativas, assume o significado de algum/alguma.}
