3. Synopsis

   • The 65th Hunger Games shows the epic journey of Flux Larkspur, a 17 year old girl, who is trapped in an arena with other children to fight to the death, the film is a prequel to the phenomenon which is 'The Hunger Games', the story shows Flux fighting for her life in a battle of survival of the fittest, she faces obstacles in the arena which she has to overcome, can she trust anyone? Will she be the victor of the 65th Hunger Games?

4. Production Concept

   • Locations
     • The arena will be filmed in Cannock Chase, as there are different woodland locations (the woodland is where the games will take place) along with a large area which is in the shape of a circle, which would be perfect for the opening scene.
     • Another location may be the studio at Stafford College, as one of the ending scenes will show a futuristic setting of a girl on a table, and this can be created using the green screen.
   • Camera Techniques
     • Shaky cam will be partially used in the film, to give the effect that the camera is showing the persons actual movements.
     • For the opening scene I am going to use a panning shot which pans around the centre to show each competitor in the game.

   • Main Characters
     • Flux Larkspur
       • Age: 17
       • White / English
       • Female
       • Common Traits: Very determined, but very fragile. She has no family left on the outside, but she fights anyway as she is determined. Her skills are her determination to save the people she cares for.
     • Loutis Selkirk
       • Age: 17
       • White / English
       • Male
       • Common Traits: Very weak, would not be known as the typical strong guy, although he is weak he is very determined too like Flux, he fears death, his strength is his cleverness, he can create traps and work his way out of tricky situations by using logic. He has a large family on the outside including his younger brother.
   • Secondary Characters
     • Zimeon
     • Dezmon
     • Polisa
     • Rea
     • Flux and Loutis will face trouble from these competitors as they fight each other and set traps for one another.
   • Transitional Characters
     • There will be a number of actors who will also be competitors in the game but they won't be explored into too much detail.
