Wireless Ad-hoc Networks

Wireless Ad-hoc Networks

1. 1.In Wireless adhoc network there are no fixed or central infrastructure.

   • It is infrastructureless

2. 2.In this networks all nodes have to share common bandwidth among them

3. 3.It is kind of multi hop network

4. 4. Packet switched technology is used

5. 5.As nodes are movable network toplogy may change frequency hence paths break down

6. 6.Cost effective and installed within time

7. 7.Dynamic frequencies can be reused based on CSMA strategy

8. 8.Many issues have to be foccused for successful commercial installaition

9. 9.Nodes themselves are self organizing hence maintenance properties are built into network

10. 10.Bandwidth reservations need complex MAC protocols
