Algorithm Constructs

1. Sequence

   • It is the order of the code written
   • Without the correct SEQUENCE, the code will not function properly
   • An example includes opening an IPad: Take the iPad out of your bag. Open the IPad. Unlock the IPad (if not in this order, the activity will not be successfully completed

2. Assignment

   • Used to store the value of something into a phrase or letter
   • An example of this is “studentName= Bob”

3. Selection and Condition

   • A selection statement uses a condition to determine the next line of program to be run through
   • Helps make decision and changes the flow of a program
   • An example of this is and if and and if else statement. An if statement is used when you want to meet particular condition is met. An if-else statement used when a condition is false
