Science Plan

1. The Sun

   • The Interior
     • The Core
       • The Innermost layer
       • Enormous amount of energy produced
       • Energy produced by nuclear fusion
         • Nuclear fusion formula: Hydrogen+hydrogen = helium
         • Only works under extremely high temperatures
     • The Radiation Zone
       • Tightly Packed Gas (SUPER DENSE)
       • Energy mainly transferred through electromagnetic radiation
       • Middle Layer
     • The Convection Zone
       • Outer Interior Layer
       • Hot gas from bottom rises to top
         • Cools on the way up
           • Sinks
             • Makes loops of gas that move energy forward
   • The Atmosphere
     • Photosphere
       • Inner Layer
       • Gives off visible light
       • Just thick enough to be visible, so not solid
       • Surface Layer
     • Chromosphere
       • Middle Layer
       • Color sphere
       • Gives off a glow
     • Corona
       • Outer Layer
       • Means crown
       • Extends for millions of km
       • Becomes Solar Wind
