PISTON

1. Manufacturing

   • Fades
   • Forjados.

2. The origin

   • The origin of the piston can be traced back to the canyon
     • In 1873 , thanks to the American Brayton , the piston shape , cylindrical body , became increasingly complex and similar to the current configuration.

3. Definition

   • It is called piston to one of the basic elements of the internal combustion engine .

4. Function

   • Its main function is to form the movable wall of the combustion chamber , transmitting the energy of the combustion gases through the rod reciprocates within the cylinder.
     • This movement is copied to the connecting rod , but is transformed along the rod until you reach your head tight to crank pin , wherein said energy is used to mobilize the crankshaft. Thus the piston acts as a guide to the crosshead in its reciprocating movement .

5. Piston parts

   • Sky
   • Walls between channels
   • Piston pin Hole
   • Piston pin
   • Skirt
   • Accommodation holder rings
   • Head
   • Rings or segments
