1. Theorem

   • ONLY WORKS IN RIGHT ANGLED TRIANGLES!
   • Formula
     • a^2 + b^2 = c^2
       • a and b are the shorter sides
       • c is the hypotenuse
   • The square of the hypotenuse (longest side, opposite right angle) is equal to the sums of the squares of the other two sides

2. Real Life Problems

   • A plane flies 6 km northwards, then 8km eastwards. What would be the distance going straight to the finishing place from the beginning directly?
     • a^2 + b^2 = c^2
       • 36 + 64 = c²
         • 100 = c²
           • √100 = 10
             • 10km
