THE DIRECT METHOD

1. ADVANTAGES

   • Students are encouraged & motivated to use the Target Language spontaneously
     • It makes emphasis on speech to learn the real language
       • It makes the learning process interesing and fun
         • Students are able to understand what they learn (it focus of meaning not the rules)

2. DISAVANTAGES

   • Lack of teachers that interesing in DM (no many teachers creative to create their own material
     • DM ignores written work & reading activities and attention is not paid to reading & writing skills.
       • In large class, DM its no properly applied ( no satisfy the needs of individual)
         • DM is not suitable for public school becouse it is costly (realia, visual materials)
