1. Backups & Archieving

   • Archive - a backup of dat that is no longer in regular use. they are used to get previous data that has been saved.
   • it is essential to take regualr backups so if the data is ever needed you have an up to date back up version.
   • Backup Media: DVD's, Memory Stick, Removeable Hard Drive, Magnetic Tape, Netwrok and Online storgae.
   • Data that has been back up needs to be stored somewhere safe - a fire prove box - and not close to the orginal.
   • it is a good idea to back up your data as it can be very easy to lose.
