Representing algorithms

1. Algorithm-is a sequence of instructions that are followed to complete a task.

   • Computer programs are made up of algorithms.

2. Decomposition- is breaking down a complex problem or system into smaller parts that are more manageable and easier to understand.

3. Abstraction- is reducing the amount of data to what is needed for the problem to be solved, therefore simplifying it.

4. Inputs, Outputs and Processes- Inputs is what the user enters into the program, Output is what the program outputs after the input is received and processes are things that take plac e.g the CPU.
