1. Algorithm

   • Plan to solve a problem
   • To be able to develop an algorithm we need to follow 5 steps
     • Step 1: Obtain a description of the problem
       • -Complete and true statements
         • -Clear descriptions without contradictions
     • Step 2: Analyze the problem
       • -State a starting and ending point of the problem,
         • -Describe the characteristics of a solution
           • -Analize the data and facts of the problem
     • Step 3: Develop a high-level algorithm
       • -Describe the major part of a solution
         • -Lack of details
     • Step 4: Refine the algorithm by adding more detail
       • -Add details
         • Adjust the level of details with the ability of the programer
           • Sepwise refinement: process of working from a high level algorithm to a detailed algorithm
     • Step 5: Review the algorithm
       • -Determine if this algorithm can solve he problem
         • -Add more questions and applied them to the next problem
