ROM (Read only memory)

1. RAM (Random Access Memory)

   • Volatile
     • • Volatile: Wiped when the system loses power
   • Stores temporary data.
   • Virtual Memory
     • An extension of RAM, when RAM starts getting full.
   • Increasing RAM size effects the use of VM and the PC's performance by giving it more space to store temporary data before it has to move on to VM.
