1. RAM

   • This means Random Access Memory
     • When we turn the computer off the RAM clears and stops working
       • The advantage of having a RAM is that it will store parts of websites and everything else like that so then it can access things quicker
   • The RAM is volatile
     • A RAM holds 4-8 GB of storage

2. ROM

   • The ROM holds the BIOS witch means Basic Input Output Storage
     • The ROM is not volatile
       • The ROM stores instructions and always remains on
         • The ROM holds on average of 4.7 GB of storage
       • The Advantage of having a ROM is that the computer will turn on and function normally

3. Hard disc drive

   • An advantage is that it can store loads of storage.
   • A disadvantage is that it can break and it wont last forever
     • Its a moving object that's why it makes a sound
     • A hard disc drive holds about 4TB of storage
   • It makes a noise

4. Solid state disc

   • A solid state disc does the same job as a ?hard disc drive but the solid state disc has no moving parts so it doesnt make a sound.
     • An advantage of the solid state disc is that it will not break as easily as the hard disc drive as it has no moving parts
       • A disadvantage is that it doesn't hold as much storage as a hard disc drive because this technology is new so it is yet to be developed further
       • the solid state disc holds 500GB

5. Optical

   • An optical disc in computing and optical disc recording technologies, an optical disc (OD) is a flat, usually circular disc which encodes binary data in the form of pits and lands on a special material
