1. SD Urocolor are plastic strips to which are attached several separate reagent areas. Depending on the product being used, SD Urocolor provide tests for Blood, Bilirubin, Urobilinogen, Ketone, Protein, Nitrite, Glucose, pH, Specific gravity, Leucocytes and Ascorbic acid in Urine

   • Precaution
     • The directions must be followed exactly. Accurate timing is essential to provide oprtimal results
     • Do not reuse the used test strip
     • The reagent stripts must be kept in the bottle with the cap tightly closed to maintain test reactivity
     • Do not touch test areas of test strips
     • To obtain optimal results, it is necessary to use fresh, well-mixed, uncentrifuged urine.
   • Procediment
     • 1. Collect fresh urine in a clean, dry container and mix well inmediately before testing
     • 2. Remove one strip from bottle and replace cap. Completely immerse test areas of the strips in fresh urine and remove inmmediately to avoid dissolving out reagents
     • 3. While removing, run the edge of the entire length of the strip against the rim of the urine container and put the strip on its side, on the tissue or gauxe
     • 4. Compare test areas to corresponding Color Chart on the bottle label and read all tests results at 60 secods. Discard the used test strpts according to your laboratory procedures
