1. Software

   • It is the set of instructions or programs that are introduced in acomputer in order to carry out a process
     • System software
       • refers to the operative system and all utility program that manage the resources of the computer system.

           • Permits to two or more user to execute programs at the same time
         • Multitask
           • Permits that two or more programs or applications are executed at the same time.
         • Multiprocessing
           • Means of multiprocessing that have more than one processor wich operates in the same memory but execute simultaneously processes
   • Application software
     • its composed of applications designed for the user, such as Word processors, Spreadsheets, graphs, presentations, databases, games, etc.
       • Word, Exel, AutoCad, Photoshop, Corel, Acrobat Reader; etc.
   • Interprets and executes the instructions through the interface that provides to the user
   • It optimizes communication between input and output devices.
   • Coordinates the processing of tasks.
   • Provides diagnostic errors
   • Provides diagnostic errors of the basic parts of the computer
   • serves as a connection to run the application software.

2. Hardware

   • Is a difined as a join of components of physical devices that intervene in a computer.
     • Processing Devices
       • the central process unit, also called CPU is the component in charge to transform data into information.

     • The ones that show the user the data previously transformed.
     • Printer, monitor, speackers
   • Input devices
     • The ones from wich the information is introduced to the computer to be processed or transformed.
       • Keyboard, bar code reader, scanner, mouse, webcam, microphone, touchscreen,
   • Storage devices
     • the ones that permit to store or safe information
     • The floppy disk, hard disk, DVD/CD, and USB

3. One of the basics and main tools in the world of the imformation and communication technology is the computer.
