1. forms of attack

   • malware -is where software accesses your computer without you knowing and could cause damage to software
     • a different type of malware is a virus is a malicious soft ware that is designed to cause harm to a network and it attaches its self to files and programs
     • another one is worms they replicate them selves to spread to other computers often using a computer network they do this by exploiting vulnerabilities
     • Trojan horses - a Malicious computer program that's Designed to access a computer by hiding its intent
   • phishing - is masquerading as a trustworthy source in an attempt to bait a user to surrender sensitive information such as a username, password, credit card numbe
   • social engineering - the use of centralized planning in an attempt to manage social change and regulate the future development and behavior of a society
   • brute force attacks - With this approach, an automated program often tests combinations, one at a time, of possible usernames and passphrases.
   • DDOS - DDoS is short for Distributed Denial of Service it is a type of attack where multiple compromised systems which are often infected with a Trojan are used to target a single system causing a Denial of Service attack.
   • data interception and theft - Data Theft Definition Data theft is the act of stealing computer-based information from an unknowing victim with the intent of compromising privacy or obtaining confidential information.
   • SQL injection -SQL injection is a code injection technique used to attack data-driven applications
   • poor network policy - is a generic document that outlines rules for computer network access
