Experience
- Public and Private worship
- The word ‘worship’
means ‘worthiness’.
Christians believe that in
their worship, they are
offering something that is
worthy and precious to
God – because He is
worth it.
- Worship-prayer
- Charismatic
- Various Christian denominations and
groups practice forms of charismatic
worship, such as clapping, raising hands,
speaking in tongues and informal leading
of prayers.
- People try to open
themselves to the Holy
Spirit and be inspired
by it. The style of
worship is very free.
- Quakers
- They have a totally different form of
worship. In a Quaker meeting for
worship the group sits in a room in
silence for n hour. From time to time
someone may speak briefly, but
sometimes the entire hour may pass
without a word beong spoken. They
believe that worship happens when
two or three people come together to
worship.
- For where
two or three
come
together in
my home,
there am i
with them.

18;20)

- Catholics
- Catholics use statues and paintings as teaching
tools. In the early church they were especially useful
for the instruction of the illeterate. Catholics do not
worship paintings, or statues. They are just a way of
conveying something abot God.
