1. Advertisements are messages paid for by those who send them and are intended to promote or sell a product, service or idea to people who receive them.

   • With the explosion of digital media, there are even more different types of advertisements than the past years.
     • DISPLAY ADS
       • Display advertising is advertising on websites or apps or social media through banners or other ad formats made of text, images, flash, video, and audio The main purpose of display advertising is to deliver general advertisements and brand messages to site visitors
         • Example: Banners
     • SOCIAL MEDIA ADS
       • Online advertising (paid efforts) that focus on social networking sites. Paid social media ads are the kind of advertisement that focuses on reaching your target audience with how much you pay adjusted to how many see it and engage with it.
         • Example: Facebook ads
     • PRINT ADS
       • Print media advertising is a form of advertising that uses physically printed media, such as magazines and newspapers, to reach consumers, business customers and prospects.
         • Example: Newspapers.
     • VIDEO ADS
       • Create a short video and post it on your social media or pay to have it run on sites like YouTube, Hulu and blogs. A video ad can be created by experts from an agency or even done by your in-house team – even if that team is comprised of just yourself.
         • Example: Youtube ads
     • EMAIL MARKETING
       • A kind of advertisement that is focused on your existing customers, email marketing involves them signing up for promotional sales or newsletters focused on your brand.
         • Example: Direct emails ads
     • OUT DOORS ADS
       • Also known as out-of-home (OOH) advertising, this is a broad term that describes any type of advertising that reaches consumers when they are away from home. Think of billboards, bus shelter posters, fly posters, and even those big digital boards in Times Square.
