IDE: Integrated development environment.
- Tools
- Editor: This is used to write and edit code and it also colour codes keywords and autocomplete words
- line numbering
- Debugger: Identifies errors in your code and can highlight the location of the error and it gives suggestions on how to fix the error.

Translator
- Compiler:This converts all source code at the same time. A compiler returns a list of errors for the entire program once the compiling is complete.
- Interpreter:translates and runs the source code one instruction at a time. interpreter will return the first error it finds and then stops. This is useful for debugging.
Assembly language
- Mnemonic:Mnemonic is a abbreviation for an operation. It's entered in the operation code field of each assembler program instruction.
- Opcode:It is a machine language instruction that specifies the operation that is going to be preformed.
- Operand:It is a part of a computer instruction that specifies what data is going to be manipulated or operated on and it also representing the data itself.
- Machine code:It is the computer language that is directly understandable by the computer.
The difference between a compiler and an interpreter.
- A compiler changes source language into object language.
- A interpreter imitates the execution of programs in source code.
The difference between high level language, assembly language and machine code.
- Machine code:Is the language the the computer understands.
