1. Input

   • Mouse: For controlling what you do on the computer
   • Keyboard: For typing numbers and letters
   • Tracker ball: like a mouse, but a ball used to control the system.
   • Microphone: For putting your voice into a system
   • Joystick: Used in gaming, as it's easier than a mouse
   • Digital camera: Used to take pictures
   • Touchscreen: Instead of using a mouse to control what you're doing, you can use a touchscreen to use your finger
   • Video diditiser: It reads videos so they can be stored on a computer.
   • Graphics tablet: used to draw o the computer with a special pen
   • Scanner: Used to digitise videos.
   • Sensor: Senses things, like the temperature.
   • Barcode: Reads barcodes on products
   • Magnetic strip: Puts on the back of credit cards. Holds all of a persons details
   • MICR: At the bottom of a cheque so the bank can get all a persos bank details

2. Output

   • Moniter: Seeing what you're doing on the computer.
   • Printer: Printing off documents and pictures
   • CPU: The heart of the compter
   • Plotters: Gain very good accuracy on A3 paper documents and other stuff.
   • Speakers: project sound
   • Projectors: project a video/picture onto a larger surafce
   • Buzzers: Make a noise, like a school bell
   • Motors: Gets things going/ stops things going
   • Lights: Light up an area
   • Mechanical devices: E.G a robot arm
