1. queries

   • Used to answer questions about the data. Can extract and display records which match certain criteria.
   • required data is displayed
   • can be used to view, alter and analyse data from one or more tables In a database
   • source of records in forms or reports
   • can be saved for future use
   • answer questions about your data
   • criteria
     • wildcards
       • *matches any number of characters or more
     • maths operators
       • or, and
       • between...and...(can be numbers or dates)

2. reports

   • Used to format the output of data from tables or queries in a user-friendly way- mainly for printing

3. forms

   • Easily created using 'wizard'
   • input and output records
   • presented in a user friendly way
   • command buttons
   • edited using a form editor
   • can be enhanced and additional text
   • The best approach is to: create the basic form using wizard, and then modify it as it is needed
   • You can view your data in a form and you can also: add records, modify records, delete rcords
   • when you move off the record, the changes made automatically to the table
