C1.1 The Atom

1. All substances are made of atoms

2. If an Atom has more than one atoms , it is an element

3. If an atom loses are gains an electron , it has either a negative or positive charge and is called an ion

4. Proton =+1

   • Neutron =0
     • Electron= -1

5. Atoms have a nucleus of Protons + Neutrons with electrons around the outside
