   • misleads users into believing there is a virus on their computer
   • to prevent, install a firewall.
   • It is a form of scareware that manipulates users through fear, and a form of ransomware

4. Trojan Horse

   • claims to rid your computer of viruses but instead introduces viruses to it.

   • used to perform distributed denial-of-service attack
