Composite Imagery

1. Surreal

   • Similar to Martin Stranka's style of composite images, the image will take use a naturally occuring landscape, with a surreal element/elements added. A good example of this is Stranka's 'Believe' photograph, shown above. Another thing I'd like to try is scaling a person down to smaller objects, shown here.

2. Advertisement

   • Advertisements are often made up of composite images, in order to create a scenario or environment which would otherwise not be possible, or too dangerous, to create. Many films and products use composite images to advertise, as it is cheaper, faster, and possible all year round.

3. Floating Person

   • The floating person effect is a relatively simple way of demonstrating how composite images are created. It is done by taking a picture of someone laying down on a surface, infront of a greenscreen. This can then be edited away to give the effect the individual is either floating or falling.
