Inferential Statistics

1. Allows us to use a small sample that we can apply to the population

   • We can use Inferential tests to decide how confident we are with the results that it is representative of the population
     • <0.05
       • Shows that the chance of this happening is very small

2. ARE WE LOOKING FOR A CORRELATION OR A DIFFERENCE?

   • CORRELATION
     • A correlation is where we think that the two variables we are examining change relative to each other
       • Spearman's Rho
   • DIFFERENCE
     • Looking at differences between the data from the experimental and control conditions
