1. Graphical User Interface:

   • Advantages:
     • low levels of ICT needed.
       • pictures can be more meaningful.
         • ( help younger audiences )
   • Disadvantages:
     • can be more complex and large, therefore take up resources.
       • can make the computer run slower.

2. Menu Driven:

   • Advantages:
     • navigation to find option is simple.
     • user input is valid as only the option shown can be used.
   • Disadvantages:
     • some options may have been no use for a particular reason.
     • can be difficult to locate and option is there are high numbrs of options & sub menus.

3. Command Line:

   • Advantages:
     • instructions execute quickly.
       • instructions are versatile
         • small operating system, less memory used.
   • Disadvantages:
     • need to learn specific instructions.
       • need to type instuction precisely.
         • complex levels with some commands.
           • high level of ICT needed.

4. Touch Sensitive:

   • Advantages:
     • low levels of ICT needed.
     • less posibility of theft.
       • more practicalilty in some environments.
   • Disadvantages:
     • can become dirty and scratched.
       • higher cost than mouse and keyboard.

5. Biometrics:

   • fingerprints:
     • voice recognition:
       • retina (eye) scanner:
         • facial features:
           • palm prints:
   • advantages:
     • hard to hack.
       • very secure.
         • prevent theft.
     • disadvantages:
       • can be very expensive.
