Topic 10

1. 'What if?" Calculations: Allows you to use a spreadsheet to see what would happen if certain figures changed in a spreadsheet.

2. Absolute cell referencing: They use the $ character in front of the letter and number that are required to stay the same. The relative address changes but the absolute doesn't. The $ is like glue as it glues the absolute cell into every formula it is needed in. e.g. B$1$

3. The two types of cell referencing are relate and absolute.

4. A cell reference starts with a letter and ends with a number. e.g. A5 or H28.

5. Data entered into cells can be different data types e.g. text, number, currency, date, percentage ect

6. Formulas and functions must start with an =

7. The 4 main mathematical operations are, + Add, - Subtract, * Multiply, / Divide.

8. Cells can contain labels, data and formulas and functions.

9. Automatic recalculation

   • Accurate calculations
     • Graphs/charts
       • What if calculations
