1. Atom Types

   • Ions: Charged particles.
   • Isotopes: Different number of neutrons.

2. Relative Masses

   • Relative Atomic Mass: WeIghted mean mass of an atom of an element compared with 1/12 the mass of a C-12 atom.
   • Relative Isotopic Mass: Mass of an atom of an isotope compared with 1/12 the mass of a C-12 atom.
   • Relative Molecular Mass: Weighted mean mass of a molecule compared with 1/12 the mass of a C-12 atom.
   • Relative Formula Mass: Weighted mean mass of a formula unit compared with 1/12 the mass of a C-12 atom.

3. Formulae

   • Empirical Formula: Smallest whole-number ratio between atoms of different elements in a compound.
   • Molecular Formula: Actual number atoms of each element in a molecule.

4. Moles

   • Avagadro Constant: 6.02x10^(23) atoms per mole
   • n=cV OR n=(cV)/1000
   • n=V/24 OR n=V/24000
   • N=m/Mr
   • Concentration
     • Concentrated: Large amount (>10mol(dm)^3) of solute per (dm)^3.
     • Dilute: Small amount (<10mol(dm)^3) of solute per (dm)^3.
