   • a meteriote impact can also cause a tsunamis as the impact on the surface of the water will shock the water causing waves which turns into a tsunami.

   • a volcano is another cause when a volcano erupts underwater due to the immense force coming from under the water the result is the displacement of water

   • the main occurence area for tsunamis is the ring of fire also know as the pacific belt.

3. what makes it deadly

   • it is dealy as the waves can wash up offshore moving 20 mph and hit really deep on land and then wash back further ripping things apart it carrys with.

   • the last major tsunami was in 2004 at Sumatra, Indonesia one day after Christmas on the twenty-sixth

       • the 2004 tsunami was hit off the coast of Sumatra in Indonesia and hit 11 different countries which includes India,Sri Lanka, Thailand, indonisea and many more
     • humen cost
       • aproximently two-hundred and fifity thousand peoplle passed away and another one point seven million where displaced.

       • the total damage of the tsunami was a whopping ten billion dollares.

   • a recorder sends a signal to the surface bouy which transfers its data to satellite which transfers to a ground base for monitoring

   • a tsunami is a large displacement of water in the ocean which causes many fast and huge waves

7. how to prepare.

   • structures
     • structures using heavy and string materials like heavy steel can withstand tsunamis better.
   • early warning systems (EWS)
     • a early warning system uses technology that predicts tsunamis and when one happens sends out alearts to citizens to warn about one.
