1. 1. Creation

   • Day 6
     • God created animals to fill the earth
       • He also created man and women.
   • Day 1
     • On Day 1 God created light and darkness
   • Day 5
     • God created every living creature
   • Day 3
     • God created the land and seas.
   • Day 4
     • God created the sun, moon and stars.
   • Day 2
     • god created the waters and the sky.
   • Day 7
     • God had finished his work and creation
       • So, he rested on the 7th day, blessing it and making it holy.
         • We do this on sundays and we call it the sabbath.

2. 2. The Fall

   • Eve was cursed
     • Women have pain in child birth because of Eve's decision in the garden.
       • Eve will feel great sorrow and pain but also joy.
         • She will work in a partnership with her husband.
   • Adam was cursed
     • Every descendent of Adam is born to one day die
   • Promise
     • Gods first promise is that there will be enmity between the individual woman, Eve, and the serpent that deceived her.
   • Satan
     • Satan comes to Adam and Eve in the form of a serpent.
       • Father of Lies.
   • The snake
     • God curses the snake who had permitted.
   • Temptation
     • Satan questions if God is right or not in The fall and Eve starts to fall into the trap of satan by agreeing with him.

3. 3. The Flood

   • Noah
     • God tells Noah to build an ark and put every animal on the boat.
       • When the ark is done and everything is on the boat, God floods the whole Earth.
         • Only Noah and those on the boat survive.
   • The ark
     • The Ark was the boat Noah and his family got on to avoid being killed by the flood.
   • The dove
     • The dove with the olive branch in Noah's ark represents peace restored .
   • God
     • God tells Noah to build the ark and that he is going to destroy the whole earth.
   • Covenant
     • Got makes a covenant that with humanity to never destroy he world again.
   • The meaning of the Flood
     • The story of Noah and the flood is a folk memory of a big flood.

4. 6. Mt. Sinai

   • Israelites
     • They reach Mount Sinai.
       • On the 3rd moon the israelites come to Mt. Sinai.
   • Moses
     • Moses meet God on mt. Sinai
   • Covenant
     • God tells Moses to prepare for the covenant
   • The people
     • The people tell Moses they will do whatever the Lord says!
   • 3rd day
     • God sends thunder and lightning to tell Moses he is near.
   • The Lord
     • The Lord appears on Mount Sinai

5. 5. Jacob & his family

   • Favorit son
     • Joseph was the favorite son out of the 11.
       • All the brothers were jealous that Joseph was the favorite son.
   • 11 sons
     • Jacob had 11 sons all of which hated the 2nd because he was most liked by his father.
   • Sold into Slavery
     • Joseph's 9 older brothers sell him into slavery.
       • They return to their father with Joseph's coat of many color that they dipped in animal blood, and tell him that Joseph was attacked by an animal.
         • Jacob was distressed when he heard this news about what had happened to Joseph.
           • After the incident, Jacob never let Benjamin, the youngest out of his sight. He could not stand to lose one of his other favorite sons.
   • forgiveness
     • Joseph approaches his brothers a few times and makes them do stuff but in the end he decides its the right thing to tell them who he really is and forgive them for what they did to him.
   • Joseph
     • Joseph is sold by his brothers to a group of Egyptians, He is sold to a rich man named Potiphar.
       • Potiphar puts Joseph in charge of everything that he owns.
         • Potiphar puts Joseph in jail for some false accusations.
           • Joseph interprets dreams while he's in the prison or the cup bearer and the baker
   • Famine
     • There was a huge famine all throughout the world except for where Joseph was because God had blessed them,
       • People come from all over to get food Joseph has saved up for 7 years. Joseph sees his brothers and doesn't know what to do.

6. 7. The Kings

   • Joseph
     • He becomes the prime minister of Egypt
   • King David
     • One of the most important figures in Jewish history
       • Born in 907 BCE and dies at age 70 in 837 BCE.
         • He reigns as King of Israel for 4o years.
   • Solomon
     • Known as the wisest man to ever have lived.
   • Saul
     • Saul is the first king of Israel
       • Saul's son became son after him.
   • King Rehoboam
     • He abandoned the Lord and sponsored idols.
   • Jeroboam
     • He led a rebellion against the evil King rehoboam

7. 4. Blessings of Abraham

   • Promises
     • Abraham was promised as many descendants as the stars in the sky.
       • His nation would be a blessing.
         • God would bless the world through Abraham's children.
     • God promises Abraham children but this doesn't happen as quickly as Abraham had hoped.
   • Sarah
     • Sarah cannot bear children.
       • She wants a child so badly, she tells Abraham to sleep with the handmaid, Hagar.
         • They name his Ishmael, though this was not God's plan for this to happen.
   • Isaac
     • Abraham and Sarah's only son
       • God said that through Isaac that nations would be blessed.
         • Even though Ishmael is the oldest son of Abraham, Isaac get the birthright because he is the son God had intended for Abraham to have in the first place.
   • Hagar
     • Hagar was Abraham and Sarah's servant working in a foreign land in a rich land.
   • Ishmael
     • The son of Hagar and Abraham.
   • God testing Abraham
     • Abraham and Sarah are very happy with their new son, but God has a test for Abraham.
       • God tells Abraham to go to the top of Mt. Sinai and sacrifice his only son that Abraham had been waiting for for his whole life.
         • God said to offer him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains on the land of Moriah.

8. 8. Exile

   • Daniel
     • This book talks about the whole period of the captivity of Judah.
   • Esther
     • Esther becomes queen.
   • Nebuchadnezzar's Victory
     • Nebuchadnezzar's was the 2nd ruler of the Neo-Babylonian Empire.
       • He was the son of Nabopolassar and father of Awil-Marduk.
   • The Fall of Nineveh
     • Nineveh fell in 612 BC
       • Nineveh was the capital of the kingdom of Assyria
         • After their king, Ashurbanipal died, the city started to unravel.
           • Today Nineveh is modern mosul, Iraq
   • The assyrians Capital
     • Assyria is located between the Tigris and Euphrates River.
   • Jews
     • The exiled Jews began to return from the land of Judah
