problems
with living in
a multi-faith
society:
- pluralism - the belief
that all religions will get
to heaven.
- inclusivism - we could all
get to heaven but
christianity is the best
way.
- exclusivism - only
christians can get
into heaven, all
other religions
cannot.

- conversion - teachings of
religions can be in conflict with
each other. some see it as their
duty to convert people, this
causes problems because some
see it as a type of prejudice, this
may lead to arguments and
violence.
- bringing up children - in the UK
children come across many other
religions and may go against their
parents. Some religions say parents
must keep their children in their faith
in order to be able to see them after
they die.
- inter-faith marriage - people who
belong to different religions fall in love.
This can cause problems because they
must decide where they will be married,
a muslim can not marry a catholic in a
church. Also, what religon will their
children be? This can cause hatred and
violence.
