1. Is a path along with electric charge can flow

   • Open
     • Is a not complete circuit, the electric charges cannot flow, so the light stay off
   • Close
     • Is a complete circuit, the electric charges can flow through it to light up the bulb
   • Parallel
     • Electric charges can flow through both the loop and the bottom loop: If one part breaks only that part stop working
   • Series
     • Electric charges must flow a single part: If one light bulb burns all the lights go out because the circuit is broken
