input, output and storage Devices!!

1. input Devices

   • microphone
     • you input sound by talking into the microphone
   • keyboard
     • your clicking on swiches and it sends signals to you computer and the computer translates it on the computer screen
   • webcam
     • It showes youself like if your facetiming or skyping
   • touchscreen
     • if you touch the screen your touching sensores and the sensores than in puts it on the screen
   • sensores
     • a sensor works by movement cause is you move in to your room it feels movement and turns on the lights
   • chip and pin device
     • you input by putting you card in
   • computer mouse
     • it inputs the click on to the computer screen
   • joystick
     • a joystick works by the movement cause the pivot it can turn and that allowes you to do what you want
   • scanner
     • It scans what you put in the machine
   • touch pads
     • like by the laptop the pas has sensores inside of it and then if you touch it you will be able to move the mouse

2. output Devices

   • printer
     • if you sent data from the computer to the printer it by outputting ink on the paper
   • head phones
     • its the same as the speaker but it comes out of you head phones
   • speakers
     • the music flows out of the speaker
   • TV
     • it outputs by showing something with you little pixels on the screen and then it forms a picture
   • screen
     • if you touch the screen your touching sensores and the sensores than in puts it on the screen
   • plotter
     • There are two main types of plotters for printing: flatbed plotters and drum plotters. Flatbed plotters use a system where the paper is fixed, and the plotter moves a pen up and down, and left and right to draw the required marks on the paper.
   • CD
     • you input a cd ad it outputs it on the display
   • projector
     • it work by shining a really bright light through a small LCD screen into small ant the shines on the wall and the you can see the powerpoint or whatever your do on you computer
   • display
     • it outputs by displaying something on you screen
   • film recorder
     • film recorders use focused lasers to write the image directly onto a film, one pixel at a time, usually employing three separate lasers, red, green and blue. The exposed film is developed and printed by regular chemical processing back to the lab.

3. storage Devices

   • hard drive
     • bigger drivers have a series of platters stacked on a central spindle with a small gap between them.
   • memory stick
     • The chip inside contains a grid of transistors acting like tiny switches. All data is reduced to binary 1s and 0s and one of these values is stored at each point in the memory.
   • USB stick
     • it plugs into Usb socket wich has acts as storage
   • SD card
     • you input a SD card in a device and then you can store all your data on the SD card
   • phone
     • your phone converts your voice into an electrical signal, which is then transmitted as radio waves and converted back into sound by your friend's phone
   • camara
     • if you input a click and it makes a picture and stores it
