   • In 1936, ludwig von Bertanlanffy developed the general systems theory
     • The theory was further developed by Ross Ashby in 1955
       • Born in September 6, 1903 in London
       • Was widely influential in cybernetics , systems theory and complex systems
     • He wrote the most famous book on the general systems theory.
     • Born september 19, 1901 in Atzgerdorf, Austri
     • Bertalanffy expressed that real systems are exposed to, and work together with, environments anda can obtain qualitatively new properties through development resulting in constant development.

   • As time and technology has evolved, there has been great emphasis on information systems
     • Many organizations such as IBM and Texas instruments rely on this theory to help their business run efficient

5. INFORMATION SYSTEM

   • system consisting of the network of all communication channels used within an organization

6. NETWORK SECURITY SYSTEM

   • Includes protection of information and property from theft, or natural disaster, while allowing the infotmation.
