Universe: All Students

1. Population: All Adult English as a Second Language Learners

   • Target Population: Adult ESL at the ESL program at the university level
     • Sample: Adult ESL at the ESL program at UTSA enrolled in 2016 fall semester
       • Sample: 26 students for my comparative analysis as there were 26 new students enrolled in the ESL program, they did both the self-assessment ratings and the CaMLA placement test
       • Convenience sample as UTSA is where I go to school
       • Quota sampling: All ESL students enrolled in the program in 2016 fall will be surveyed
       • The same sample for my survey. As they did the survey about their perception on CaMLA test one week after taking the test
