4. Relatively quick results

5. Simple idea to understand

6. Some techniques such as social skills therapy may be empowering to the client

7. Highly structured, following a step by step process

8. Fails to address cause

9. May be seen as punishment

10. Some may rebel against authority/being told what to do

11. May not want/desire the reward

12. May not consider what people think/feel

13. Not always easy to get someone to change their mind

14. Could be seen as dehumanising- reducing behaviour to simply responses to things that give/ reduce pleasure
