1. We see Marco's true nature

   • a glare of warning to a smile of triumph
     • During this scene we see a change in many of the characters but particularly in Marco. Up until this moment Marco has been quiet, but now that Rodolpho has been threatened he changes his whole character. This is significant because it makes the audience wonder how far Marco would go Rodolpho.

2. We are given a hint of the oncoming future

   • 'raised like a weapon'
     • This is significant because it is almost a warning to the readers of the future.

3. We are given a deeper understanding of Eddie's character

   • 'i'll teach you'
     • During this conclusion we are shown How low Eddie will truly go. This is significant as it gives us this deeper understanding of how deep his love for Catherine is as to a point of punching her BF in an apparently harmless game
