Bubble Sort

1. Look at the first two numbers on the listing. If they're in the wrong order, swap them.

2. Move onto the next pair of numbers and repeat step one. Go through the list until you get to the last numbers. This set of comparisons is called a pass.

3. When you've finished this pass, go back to the beginning and start again. When there are no more swaps, the listing is complete.

Each pass has one less comparison than the one before it.

Quick Pass

1. Choose a pivot. Move any numbers less than the value of the pivot to a new list on the left, and any values higher than the pivot to a new list on the right. Do not change the order of the numbers.

2. Repeat step 1 for each list, choosing new pivots each time.

3. When every numbers been used as a pivot, stop, the list is in order.
