Zusammenfassung der Ressource

Seite 1

When the material is in solid form it has high densitiy and the particles a very close together. They vibrate but only slightly and, really, hardly at all. They cannot difuse ( be spread out) or be compressed (pushed together). It keeps it's own shape.

When the material is in liquid form it still has high density but not as high as solids. The particles are more spread apart and move a lot more. It can be disfused and, technically, not compressed, though. It takes the shape of it's container.

When a material is in gas form the particles don't touch and move around a lot. They have a very low density. It can be disfused and compressed easily. It takes the shape of it's container.

As a rule the hotter particles are th more they move: for example, the gas particles bouncing off the side of a baloon keeps it inflated so when it is heated the baloon increases in size but if it was put in the freezer it would deflate.
