- The Sun is a star, that is, a celestial body that shines with its own light, composed of hydrogen and helium at enormous temperatures in a plasma state. It is the closest star to Earth and on which all life depends on it. Concentrated in the Sun we find 99.85% of the entire mass of the Solar System.

- Bildunterschrift: The parts and the type of reactions of the sun
-

- Bildunterschrift: The small planet
-
- Although Venus is not the closest planet to the Sun, it is the hottest. It has a dense atmosphere, full of carbon dioxide, which causes the greenhouse effect, and clouds made of sulfuric acid. The gases trap heat and keep Venus warm. Venus is unusual because it rotates in the opposite direction to that of Earth and most of the other planets. And its rotation is very slow. It takes about 243 Earth days to rotate just once. Because it is so close to the Sun, a year goes by very quickly. Venus takes 225 Earth days to go all the way around the Sun.

- Bildunterschrift: Although Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun, Venus is the hottest.

- Our home, planet Earth, is a terrestrial, rocky planet. It has a solid and active surface, with mountains, valleys, canyons, plains and much more. Earth is special because it is an ocean planet, as water covers 70% of its surface. The most important feature of Earth is that it is the only planet in the solar system with liquid water on its surface. This was a key factor for the development of life on this planet. Currently, it is the only planet in the solar system with favorable conditions for life.

- Bildunterschrift: Our home, The Earth
-
- Mars is a cold desert planet. It is half the size of Earth and is also called the "red planet". It's red from the rusty iron on the ground. It has a thin atmosphere made of carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and argon. There are signs of ancient flooding on Mars, but now the water exists mostly in its icy dust and thin clouds. On some Martian slopes, evidence of salty liquid water has been found. Scientists want to know if Mars could have had living things in the past. They also want to know if Mars could support life now or in the future.

- Bildunterschrift: The "Red planet"
-
- Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system. It is similar to a star, but it never became massive enough to start burning. It is covered in streaks of swirling clouds. It has strong storms like the Great Red Spot, which have been going on for hundreds of years. Jupiter is a giant made of gas, and it doesn't have a solid surface, but it may have a solid inner core about the size of Earth. Jupiter also has rings, but they are too faint to see very well.

- Bildunterschrift: The big planet of the solar system
-
- Saturn isn't the only planet to have rings, but it definitely has the most beautiful ones. The rings we see are made up of groups of small rings that surround Saturn. They are made of pieces of ice and rock. Like Jupiter, Saturn is a ball of mostly hydrogen and helium. It is a gas giant, like Jupiter. It is composed of hydrogen and helium, mostly.
- It has a thick atmosphere.
- It has a beautiful group of seven rings separated by space between them.

- Bildunterschrift: The best characteristic is the rings
-
- Uranus is made up of water, methane, and ammonia over a small rocky core. Its atmosphere is made of hydrogen and helium, like Jupiter and Saturn, but it also contains methane. Methane is what gives Uranus its blue color. Uranus also has faint rings. The inner rings are narrow and dark. The outer rings are brightly colored and easier to see. Like Venus, Uranus rotates in the opposite direction from most other planets. And, unlike any other planet, Uranus rotates on its side.

- Bildunterschrift: Uranus rotates on its side
-
- Neptune is dark, cold and very windy. It is the last of the planets in our solar system. It is more than 30 times farther from the Sun than Earth. Neptune is very similar to Uranus. It is composed of a thick mixture of water, ammonia, and methane over a solid core the size of Earth. Its atmosphere is made up of hydrogen, helium, and methane. Methane gives Neptune the same blue color as Uranus. Neptune has six rings that are not easily seen.

- Bildunterschrift: Neptune is dark, cold and very windy
-

- Bildunterschrift: Like
