Introduction

• In this report I am going to explore and evaluate the role of volcanic and seismic processes which result in the formation of a range of distinctive landscapes.
• Im addition, I will overview how different locations reflect the importance of tectonic activity in creating contrasting/distinctive landscapes.
• For me to achieve this I will need to use a great variety of examples that demonstrate the contrast/distinctiveness.
• Terms:
• 'Volcanic' refers to all processes where solid, liquid or gaseous materials are forces into the earth crust this is an intrusive or are ejected on to the surface which is extrusive.
• 'Extrusive igneous activity' refers to when magma reaches surface and becomes lava, leads to a number of contrasting landforms/landscapes.
