How You Can Use Each Programme

Word

• 
• Word is very useful for numerous tasks and is really easy to work.
• However there is some difficulties that you may encounter whilst using word these are:
• Different Footers on each page - when attempting to do this you must always use section breaks and not page breaks.
• Contents Table - To make a contents table you must go to refrences and then table of contents. Remeber to make it 2 line spacing.
• Remeber when using word as part as a mail merge you must have 0 line spacing for it to look right.

Access

• 
• Access is a very good way of storing data that may need to be narrowed down or used to send letters etc.
• There is many useful functions on a database like
• Forms
• Reports
• Queries
• You need to be careful when using complex queries this is thing like the like*" "*

Excel

• 
• Excel can store extremley large amounts of data
• You can create charts, graphs and pivot tables.
• You can even use conditional formatting to change the way a cell looks based on the information that it contains. For example you could format so that any cells with fails are red and ones with a pass are green.
• You can also share your spreadsheets online by changing them into an HTML file and then anyone can view them.

PowerPoint

• 
• PowerPoints are groups of slides containg information and pictures.
• Powerpoints are very good to have on in the backround of a presentation
• They look very professional
• You can apply slide animations and transactions, this is when you can add effects and change the way that it moves on to the next slide or how the data comes uo on the screen
• Using PowerPoint keeps people interested as there is not an overload of information due to it being split up using bullet points, images or clipart and animations and transactions.
• They are also very easy to create.
